About Paris:

The Eiffel Tower, perhaps the most recognized symbol of Paris, is a must see. Standing at 324 meters, it offers breathtaking views of the city from its observation decks. Visitors can choose to take the elevator or climb the stairs for a more immersive experience. At night, the tower is illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. Notre-Dame Cathedral is a stunning piece of architecture. Although damaged by fire in 2019, its stunning façade and rose windows continue to draw admiration. The ongoing restoration efforts are a testament to its cultural and historical significance.

The Louvre Museum, home to thousands of works of art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, is another essential stop. The glass pyramid entrance, designed by architect I. M. Pei, contrasts beautifully with the historic palace that houses the museum. Louvre Museum Masterpieces Guided Tour with Reserved Access on Viator

Paris is filled with art and culture. The Musée d’Orsay, located in a former railway station, showcases an impressive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces by artists such as Monet, Van Gogh and Degas. Its airy, light-filled spaces provide a perfect setting for these luminous works.

The Jardin des Tuileries, located between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic, this was one of my favourite places to people watch and relax with a drink by the pond.

The Latin Quarter, known for its bohemian spirit and intellectual history, is home to the Panthéon. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with bookshops, cafés and historic buildings.

Montmartre, perched on a hill in the 18th arrondissement, offers a village-like atmosphere with cobblestone streets and artists’ studios. The Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur, with its white domes, provides panoramic views of the city.

A visit to Paris is not complete without indulging in its culinary delights. Start your day with a buttery croissant or pain au chocolat from a local bakery. Ladurée and Pierre Hermé are famous for their macarons, while Angelina is known for its rich hot chocolate and Mont-Blanc dessert.

Seine River and Gardens

The Seine River, flowing through the heart of Paris, is lined with historic buildings and picturesque bridges. A river cruise offers a unique perspective of the city’s landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, and the Louvre. The Pont Alexandre III, with its ornate Art Nouveau design, is one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris.

I would recommend doing a river cruise to see the sites of Paris, especially at night! It was definitely the highlight of my trip to Paris! Paris River Cruise on Viator

Fashion and Shopping

As a global fashion capital, Paris offers an unmatched shopping experience. The Champs-Élysées, one of the world’s most famous avenues, is lined with luxury boutiques, flagship stores and cafés. The nearby Avenue Montaigne and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré are home to high-end fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton.
