Practical Tips for Visiting Marrakech

Currency: Moroccan Dirham (MAD). Cash is king—many small shops don’t take cards!

Tipping: 10-15% in restaurants. Give small change to helpful guides, drivers or hotel staff.

Plugs & Adapters: European two-pin plugs (Type C & E). Bring an adapter if needed!

Language: Arabic & French are most common, but many locals speak some English, enough to communicate!

Dress Code: Respect local culture—light, loose clothing is best. Cover shoulders & knees when visiting religious sites.

Taxis: Always agree on the price first or insist on the meter.

Drinking Water: Stick to bottled water—your stomach will thank you!

Marrakech is a city that excites all your senses—spices in the air, colourful streets, and constant adventure. Whether you’re sipping mint tea on a rooftop or haggling for souvenirs, one thing’s for sure: you’ll never forget this trip!
