Practical Tips

Weather: Sydney enjoys a temperate climate, but the weather can be unpredictable. Pack layers and don’t forget your suncream, as the Australian sun can be intense.

Currency and Payment: Australia uses the Australian Dollar (AUD). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but it’s always good to have some cash on hand for smaller purchases.

Language: English is the official language, and you’ll find that most people are friendly and willing to help if you need directions or advice.

Safety: Sydney is generally safe, but like any big city, it’s wise to take standard precautions. Keep an eye on your belongings, especially in crowded areas and follow beach safety guidelines when swimming.

Tipping: Tipping is not obligatory in Australia but is appreciated for good service. Rounding up the bill or leaving 10% in restaurants is a nice gesture.
