Practical Tips for Your Antalya Holiday
Currency – The local currency is Turkish Lira, but many places accept euros, dollars and pounds. Always carry some lira for small shops and markets. We would recommend exchanging money into Turkish Lira whilst in resort for the best rates.
Tipping – Leave 10-15% at restaurants, round up for taxis, and tip hotel staff if they go the extra mile.
Weather– Summer is HOT! (35°C+ in July/August). Pack suncream and drink plenty of water. Spring and autumn are ideal for sightseeing.
Transport – Use trams and buses for cheap travel. Taxis are available but always insist on the meter. Renting a car is great for exploring further – but just be careful!
Haggling – Markets and souvenir shops expect it! Be polite, smile, and never accept the first price. It’s all part of the fun!
Water – Stick to bottled water to avoid an upset stomach. Tap water is safe for brushing teeth but not for drinking.
Language – Turkish is the main language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas. Learning a few words (like “Teşekkürler” for thank you or “Merhaba” for hello) goes a long way!

Antalya blends history, adventure and beachside bliss into one unforgettable escape. From sun-kissed days to starry nights, this coastal paradise has it all. Time to pack your swimsuit and dive into the fun!
